"Vamonos" is the first single from Brooklyn-based artist Rue Snider off his forthcoming album City Living. The single evokes warm colors of summer juxtaposed with melancholy lyrics drenched in the melodies of electric and slide guitar. Produced in Nashville by Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes platinum debut "Boys and Girls") "Vamonos" is reminiscent of Chris Isaak and Mazzy Star with guitar tones in the vein of The Smiths and The Cure. A song that exudes a light and free sensibility, “Vamonos” never sinks into despair, yet remains poignant and provoking, nonetheless.
Rue Snider is a Brooklyn-based singer songwriter who has built a loyal fan base one show at a time having toured the country the past four years. His third full length album, City Living is his most musically ambitious, and exciting, effort to date. Heavily influenced by the sounds of the 80s from Cyndi Lauper to R.E.M, City Living presents an aural experience of the downtown Manhattan scene in the mid 2000s brought to living color in 2018.
